I don't really see the point of trading Lias for Subban at this point, unless you're just really looking to unload Lias? You likely lose Subban on waivers if he doesn't make the team (And, if Quick and Petersen are still on the roster, he won't).

Only real reason I could see for doing it would be to buyout Quick?

i doesn't have to be subban i was just showing them basically trading his rights for next to nothing

I understand you are trying to build for the future but at the same time, this season coming is supposed to be a step forward. They are basically done unloading players for picks as their prospect pool is very strong. It is possible they still add picks but very few compared to years past. That Carter trade won't happen, I understand that JR is as some would call him an "idiot" but still doubtful for a second round pick. As for Andersson, no reason to move him; recently acquired for a chance to prove himself in a change of scenery while at the same time, why acquire another goalie? Unless you have a plan for Quick, there was no reason for that. I'm doubtful that the kings would look to take on Eriksson's contract with that term even with those shiny sweetners. The contracts seem ok at first glance other than that Amadio contract, I understand it's only for one year but he doens't get PP time and he plays a bottom 6 role.

the carter trade is fine cuz of the retention and he's not bad and its Rutherford. I'm predicting that andersen won't come through so its just trading his rights for nothing, doesn't have to be subban it was just an example. They have tons of cap space so they might as well get assets for it that can make them better for once they are in contention again because y not

the penguins don't want Carter, I don't know why LA fans keep trying that old diddy.
The "it's Rutherford" argument is just so bad. He isn't taking on 2 years of a guy who is already 35. Especially at that cap hit, even cut in half, when the team is pressed against the cap.
