Pass on the Minny trade. Don’t want that contract even reduced. The term is worse.

I’d do the Flames trade, many wouldn’t...on both sides. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Can't see the Wild retaining 2M for 5 years when they're also taking on the risk of recapture.

Didn't they get rid of cap recapture?

I think a player like Hanifin might end up in Boston after the Seattle draft. Not before.

What makes you anyone think Hanafin is worth that much? He is fine, but is he really a top pairing guy?

Kase is better than people are giving him credit for. Before last year, Anaheim and others would argue he was a top 10 RW in the league (some even higher). He isn't that, but he is sneaky good. His advanced numbers are insane and he is pretty much producing at the same level as Debrusk. I don't think anyone would trade Debrusk and a 1st for Hanafin (which is Ironic). I understand his inability to stay healthy is a real issue. I'd like to see him work with Bruins trainers before they move him.

This isn't a shot against Hanafin. I like him. I want the Bruins to get him, but is he really a top pairing guy?

Statistically he looks a lot like Gryzelcyk, but he happens to get a little more ice time (which will change this year). He is just taller.

No, they just made it so the recapture penalty can't exceed the player's cap hit in any given year. You still have to pay the full recapture penalty, but a team can't be hit with an absurd single season cap hit like what would've happened to Nashville if Weber retired with 1 year left on his deal. Under the previous rules, they'd get hit with a $24+ million cap hit for 1 year. Now, it would be spaced out over 4 seasons with the max in 1 year being $7.86 million.
