Not enough for Laine. 1 year of Trocheck, Suzuki, and a 2nd isn't worth Laine and the cap dump known as Brady Skjei (yeah that was a terrible knee jerk reaction trade by CAR). To think CAR could have Hendrix AND Jarvis. Crazy deep.

Personally I'd rather wait and see what Puljujarvi brings this year and we'll talk next summer.

skjei isn't a cap dump in the eyes of most fans. also the canes don't have hendrix lapierre tho. skjei would easily play for them and be effective. he isn't a negative player and very positive in fact. i value him between pesce and fluery

The Canes give up a 1st to get Skjei. That 1st turned out to be Hendrix. I'm not a fan of Brady and I'm even less of a fan of that trade. It was worse than pointless IMO. CAR could have made many better moves (like for a goalie) than for a bottom pair Dman with a cap hit of $5.25M for FOUR more years. Heck, you could have Lehner now AND with a lower cap hit than a bottom pair Dman. BUT Vegas got him and then extended him. In my mind...easily the dumbest move Dundon Waddell have made and by a country mile.

That's fair. Let's just make sure we're looking at relative to the team. The Hurricanes are a REALLY good team.
