I think Domingue will hopefully clear, the only team that might be interested is Chicago, and they'd probably prefer Dell. I wouldn't mind snagging Juulsen, but I don't think Nesterov would clear waivers.

edit: Thought NJD snagged a goalie yesterday lol, nvm then

Putting Domingue on waivers was a risky take IMO but probably had to happen. I could definitely see the Devils snagging him.

The problem with taking someone like Juulsen (which Montreal is using to their advantage) is that scouts have so little information on him right now. Basically we would claim him and have to keep him on the roster or place him on waivers ourselves but since he hasn't played in 2 years that's a bit of a gamble.

I wouldn't pair Valimaki and Juulsen together.

From what I'm hearing, he needs to get into games. He still has upside but the last few years have been derailed by injuries, similar to Valimaki I'd imagine (although Valimaki is probably better). I know GMBT said he wanted a new 3RD, but I don't think Juulsen will be better than Kylington or Nesterov this year honestly.

Because both of them are inexperienced at the NHL level and teams usually pair rookies with more seasoned players. Juulsen deserves an experienced partner especially if he is going to make an impact IMO.

Should be clarified that BT said he wanted a veteran RD

Ah I forgot about that. Idk then, I wish it would happen, but it probably won't because I just don't see him cracking the lineup, and then Montreal would just reclaim him on waivers. Maybe he thinks the RD depth is solved with the Stone PTO, him and Petrovic will likely be taxi squad vets.

Correct if I am wrong but I don't think you can waive a player that you just claimed off of waivers. I think if you claim a player they have to be added to the active roster.

yes but I am not sure if there is a cooldown period before that player can be placed on waivers again

Ok just checking cause you said Calgary would have to add Juulsen to the roster or waive him themselves. Which IMO if that happened Montreal would just claim him back.

Well waivers have a priority so the highest priority team gets first claim

Pretty sure the original team to waive a player has first option to reclaim them if a team claims a guy and then tries to put them through waivers to the AHL,
Jets did that a couple times I think, pretty sure they did that with Dano a couple years ago.

Yes but if Calgary waives him then they cant claim him. Therefore Montreal would have a shot at claiming him back.

kinda? if Calgary were to waive him every other team would have a shot to claim him but he may just pass through waivers and go to the AHL/Taxi Squad. Should be noted that if 2 teams place him on waivers that raises a lot of red flags
