Kinkaid has played for the Devils before and put up his best numbers with them. I don't think he will get back to playing great, but as of now its Blackwood/ Wedgewood/ Senn/ Cormier and that feels a little light.

The only reason NYR signed Mr Kinkaid (for 2 years) is for him to be exposed in the Seattle expansion draft. But if Mr. kinkaid cannot find his game again and is no longer an NHL talent, he can help with the team management. I believe he has prior proven management skills managing the Partridge Family.
