If the point of a rebuild is to acquire assets like picks and prospects, trying to ship out bad contracts with picks and prospects seems super counterintuitive. That's what makes it so hard for SJ. They would be fine if the term on the bad contracts were 1-3 years, but sadly most of our contracts that are like 4-7 years.

I think Kane is 100% moveable (personality aside) and so is Couture to a lesser extent. But the others are just anchors. Wilson is an absolute fool for getting us into this mess.

Imagine if Sens traded Duchene to Preds instead of Columbus with a similar package to the one you proposed...lmao it would've been worse than that.

Preds 2020 1st for re-signing Duchene (Askarov or Lundell)....Preds dodge a bullet by waiting Duchene until July 1st
