Personally, even though Habs fans think he's a solid 2nd line LW, I beleive he is a 3rd line winger that is overpayed. He hasn't done anything in Montreal recently and he's making 5.5M on cap that Montreal could use elsewhere. I would take Donskoi as the same as Drouin, but makes less mistakes in my opinion. So that makes Drouin=Donskoi. Now the 2.25M retention for I don't know how many years, maybe 3, is for the fourth, to balance salary. I would personally make Montreal only retain 1M for those years though.

Joe says yes. This was exactly what I was saying about IF Drouin could be had for a steal. It wouldn't happen but at that price you'd be a fool not to.
