Detroit declines even with Buffalo retaining $3M its still a $6M cap hit for the next 6 years and he hasn't been the same since signing that contract.

I don’t think Samuelsson will be ready next year unless his skating really improves

A little here and there but he has 1 assist. A player on that big of a contract needs more than an assist to get interest from other teams. Especially since he is coming the worst season of his career.

He has been dominant, but the coach is putting him on our 4th line... So no help for Skinner. He also has to be snake bitten

Are you defending Skinner or saying Detroit should this?

Defending him...and saying please take him lol. I don't think he is worth 9million but he's defiently worth 6/7

Ok! I'm not saying he is a bad player at all. I think he is a very good player but he is in a slump offensively. It was his production that got him that contract and until he boosts his production I don't see anyone wanting to take him even with a discounted cap hit of $6M. But it doesn't matter Buffalo isn't going to trade him.

Detroit isn’t the team to do this when we have Mantha, Bertuzzi, and Zadina already in the top 6 plus Fabbri plays better as a wing. We also have Raymond and Berggren in the next year or so and that’s not counting if we draft a winger this year.
