i think that this deal would happen before the draft. trade during the season will be very thought to managed. with all the rule at the border and the quarantine they will likely keep the team as it is.
as for value i do think that this is a fair value for both team.

Danault is a distraction with is contract negotiations, if Jenner had one year remaining I would have say no, but he slots perfectly as 3C and he’s a good veteran hard worker. Danault too, but next year we need someone to play 3C to make sure we don’t rush Poehling or Evans. In the other hand ( I think that’s the expression (slam) lol ), CBJ gets their 1C or 2C with Texier. Texier could be move to LW when Foudy is ready to play top6. Domi isn’t resigning with CBJ after is deal.

Why wouldn’t the Jackets just wait to sign Danault in the offseason so we wouldn’t have to give up so much?
