Flames would need to add. Bennet would be a pure rental if he didn’t agree to a cheap extension because Toronto would not be qualifying him.

Because Kerfoot isn't that great and is paid too much.

I used this mock trade a lot this past offseason - issue now is that the Flames have no cap to make it work

Bennett has not proven himself capable for playing a consistent 3rd line role. I understand bring him in, but... come on.

Kerfoot is just fine. If we wanted to move him we could do better than Bennet. Unless he pulls a complete 180 leafs lose this trade by a mile.

Bennett isn't that good and can't play 3rd line centre. Kerfoot has been dependable this year.
