I don't mind this trade for Ottawa, I think I've seen it a few times now. The only reservation I have is if it blocked Formenton, but he doesn't earn so much that it would be so terrible having him a healthy scratch next season to let Formenton play.

Paquette could help Toronto, he can provide some grit.

The author believes the Leafs are interested in adding Ryan. Hard to fathom the Leafs would be interested unless there is a wave of injuries to wingers.
