Wasn't Kylington on waivers earlier this year? I'm fine with giving up Filppula but Soderblom's a stud so I wouldn't move him.

This kind of leadership won’t help Calgary. We already have Gio, Looch, Tanev and Markstrom. People are very confused about what wins championships. Everybody thinks you need grit and leadership. Yes and no. You need those things, but not in the way people think. For grit, everybody wants to add an enforcer on the 4th line. That’s not going to help you at all. The actual grit that wins championships is 4 two-way lines that are hard to play against. For leadership, there is a role for vets, but homegrown vets like Gio. You can’t do what TO does and just bring in Jumbo and Spezza and expect them to control the room. That takes time. Probably a year. Yes you need leadership and grit but not like this

Maybe he’s not a stud lol, but he’s massive (6’8, 240lbs) and he looked great at the WJC. I think he’s a guy who could be great in a bottom 6 role in the future.

He scored 3 PP goals against a bunch of 18 year old's 6-8 inches shorter than him and looked terrible 5v5.

Unfortunately, he will more than likely never be an NHLer.
