Honestly, I think Forbort has been one of our better dman this year. He’s great on the Pk, and makes good passes. He really hasn’t been bad. Beaulieu on the other hand is just awful, I’d rather see Stanley over him. They’re keeping Heinola out so they don’t burn a year off of his ELC.

Also I really liked the Connor-Dubois-Wheeler line. Would like to see them stay together and grow some chemistry. Poolman had a decent game, a few mistakes early but was solid the rest of the game. Hellebuyck was up to his usual good game, made a lot of saves, not all high danger chances but he made a lot of saves. That first line is continuing to get better and better. I’d rather watch vesalainen than Thompson but I get that they won’t do it. The Lowry line looked good too, I like stastny at wing.

Beau was fine on the 3rd pairing...he also kills penalties that Stanley has be shielded from. This is why Stanley wont be playing

Forbert has been pretty good for the jets. He's slow but does a lot of really good things out there. Bealieu is a real tire fire at times, but he's also being asked to do way more than i think he's capable of

exactly...play 15 mins or so on the 3rd pairing and play decent PK...thats all he needs to do...I just hope that Demelo is back...he has had a few solid games but then again, he is playing on the 3rd pair

I dont wanna see Thompson back in the lineup. I think he was brought in to be a PK guy, but the jets PK has been decent without him. Give me Veslainen on the wing on that 4th line with Lewis in the middle.
Unfortunately you are probably right and Maurice will play a vet on a min one year deal over a former 1st rounder who's finally shown he can play in the NHL

Lewis and Perreault play better on the wing...this is the slight problem with that imo

Youre right, Ive really liked both of those guys forecheck. maybe Gustafsson at C? Or just throw Lewis in there since the 4th line will most likely go back to a sub 10 min TOI, outside of Lewis PK and Matty P 2nd PP

I would rather have Gus and Vesa on the Moose playing big mins there...a whole lot better than playing 7 mins on the 4th line or sitting on the pine

maybe a healthy Harkins can take that 4C. I know Maurice likes him on the wings, but the kid could be a future top 9 C for the jets

Yah...dunno...Harkins wont be back for a while it looks like so...I dont really care as long as they dont allow goals against and play 7-8 mins plus special teams, im good
