As a long suffering Leaf fan, I feel sorry for Sabres fans. The owners put in the money, but have hired the wrong people to run the team.

When the Sabres got Hall I thought OK two scoring lines Hall Eichel Reinhart and Skinner Staal Olofsson then some support Sheahan Eakin Cozens and a checking energy line - but we play more of a slow it down game, I was expecting 30-35 shots on goals a night but it's more like 20 - I don't know what happened maybe they looked at the goaltending and said these guys are not good enough to win games like that but to me that's Buffalo sports that make zero sense seem to go in one direction then make a sudden reversal - I remember the Bills got Bledsoe who was pretty immobile but did one thing really well (threw a beautiful deep ball) the next season they got rid of all our deep threats and made him roll out and throw short passes.
