not that sean walker is a bad player but i cant see the blues moving perunovich for him, theyre already pretty set at D and they wouldnt be able to protect him in the expansion draft

we are not trading Liljegren and a 2nd for Iafallo for gosh sakes. Were only trading Liljegren unless its for an actually good top 6 winger. Not a good third liner

You think if Walker gets beat for a 3rd RD pair that the Blues would trade their top D prospect plus a solid young forward? Yikes

It would be after the start of next season. I figured Walker would be an upgrade over Bortuzzo and they have Krug, Dunn, Scandella, and Mikkola already on the left side.

Save it. I've had plenty of positive feedback from Leafs fans on that trade as well as many others who know that Iafallo is not just a "3rd liner"

Liljegren still has lots of upside and has 4 points in 4 games so far this season in the AHL. It's not farfetched to think he can turn into the good NHL defenseman he was supposed to be.

Walker would have had over 30 points if last season didn't end early. He's best utilized on the 3rd pair, but can be a solid fill in the top 4 if there's injuries. He's 26 and if there's good young RD that need ice time like Lilly, then he's expendable.

It could work then yeah, depends how sold the blues are on perunovich's upside i guess. Hes a great skater and passer but its pretty hard to make it as a 5'9 defenseman. I personally wouldnt do it just cause i think theres more cost/asset effective ways to upgrade the 3RD spot but that could just be me

If he's getting beat for a job, you're not going to get a top d prospect plus a good NHL forward. You're not going to get that if he's a 3rd Rd. It doesn't make sense. This is less about Liljegren and more about how asinine it is to think that Walker, a 3rd RD, will get anything more than a 3rd round pick
