Do you really think Caufield is being hard-matched against opponents' best players? If so, I have the perfect water-front property in Arizona for you!

Do you watch the games? Also first lines tend to play first Lines.

I agree that Holloway is or soon will be better than Chiasson. Since he is a UFA he has little to no value to Detroit so compensation is needed. A 3rd is probably high but but I'm not sure a 4th gets it done.

So Caufield has better linemates, is that what you're saying? And yet Holloway still scores more while also being better defensively? Here, I'll demonstrate:

    1st line
    Caufield: 1.54 P/GP
    Pelton-Byce: 1.29
    Weissbach: 1.21

    2nd line
    Holloway: 1.81 P/GP
    Ahcan: 0.95
    Caufield: 0.58

Holloway is doing way more with way less.

No point arguing as you believe what you believe, my final statement is

Caufields linemates are racking up points on Caufields goals. Holloway’s can’t do that. Caufield and his FIRST line play the more difficult matchups. Yes holloway has been fantastic but hasn’t been as good. Also your overvaluing his defence compared to caufields

It’s possible but those two are very different. Caufield is small and mtl wanted him to work on his 2-way game and be more complete. Holloway could maybe use another year but he doesn’t have the same issues as cc. He’s big, fast and skilled. He’s more of a jump to the pros at this time than cc

Yeah, I think conventional wisdom about those that follow Big Ten hockey is that both Caufield and Holloway would sign this year.

Holloway will be in camp next fall don't waste a year of his ELCto throw him into the playoffs when he's 19 and not totally physically mature.

Savoie I think has to do 1 more year US colleges usually make them commit two years i think.

Colleges don’t make them - but I think he will stay to play with brother, no?

Stunningly bad take. Zucc has only played 5 games. The fact remains that Holloway has been outplaying Caufield offensively with less help, he's better defensively and he's far better able to withstand the physicality of NHL.
