Why would you trade Kravtsov and Laff and Kakko and Buch and Strome and first round?????

Would never do that......Also why is Fox and Lindgren on second pairing

As a GM your nickname would be "The Leach", absolutely sucked the lifeblood out of the rangers future.

Ahh, the Toronto model for competiting in the NHL.

Clog up 50% of your Cap with 4 players (3 of them Forwards) and then scratch your head year after year when you can never get out of the 1st Round.

And this is while you give away your entire Prospect pool, and right before you look to extend Fox.

Way to close a competitive window before it even opens.

Those 4 players currently combine for 102 points, and the leafs are currently the nhl's top team so far this year, just saying wink

Regular Season has never been the issue. We'll see how they look when the Playoffs hit.

Maybe. But the contracts coming back are heavy, and Buffalo and Toronto gain a lot of cap flexibility. Toronto especially.

Lets just look at the past 4 years shall we?

First year no one even expected them to make the playoffs. It was good that they didn't get swept.
Second and third years they weren't the favourites, Boston was.
4th year was certainly inexcusable. They sucked that year. But every team that is one of the nhl's best has disappointed one year or another come playoff time. The caps constantly lost to Pittsburg before finally beating them and winning the cup. St Louis was last in the league, then they won the cup. Tampa got swept round one and next year won it all.

This year the leafs are first in the North. They will likely have to play the oilers, flames or habs in round one. They are clearly better than all those teams. They will make it past round one, just wait and see.

Was going to use that Tampa example. Its a matter of playing well at the right time with the right players.
