Why? They must had really liked the way he played in that one ahl game to sign him.

They like him a lot actually and because Yale's season was cancelled it forced Boston to get him signed with Providence (didn't want to use a contract slot this year). They were always going to sign him to an ELC that would start '21-'22. Has solid bottom 6 upside and could be Kuraly's replacement has he's a UFA after this season.

They had the whole rest of the season to sign him, just a roster space taken away

real good signing bottom 6 C sign Kuraly for 3 years let it fall through then sign Hall to a Nhl contract

Good depth piece nothing wrong with the signing with years to improve and could see him playing bottom 6 for the bruins
