I’ve seen some Sabres fan on here that would say that’s not enough. I think many are truly overrating his price based on the fear of having another ROR trade on our hands

Eichel has LESS value than the whole rangers team, not more

Cozens, Jokiharju, Reinhart/Olofsson, 1st + probably a cap dump to even out the cap hit.

In my opinion I want;
A+ Prospect
2 players that are solid/younger NHlers that can play middle 6 and score goals that project to have good contracts (I know that’s a lot to ask for)
Cap dump that isn’t simply a dump but someone that can contribute and not hurt the team (aka not another okposo)
And a 1st

In my opinion if I’m trading Eichel, I’m trading him to teams that have solid prospect pools; Vegas, Minnesota, Anaheim, LA, Calgary.

I am not trading him to NY simply based on the fact that nothing there really interests me other than Laf and the chances of lottery picks. Also Boston has nothing they could offer Buffalo other than Pasta (not happening)

Johnson < kravtsov
Jokiharu < Lundkvist
Middlestadt < Chytil or Zibanejad

Rest is kind of even.. but the above isn’t that close at all.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t blame Buffalo fans for wanting the moon, but the situation is not in your favor at all. Every team knows he wants out and no team is THAT desperate to give up their future for him.

To be honest I don't see that many pieces being involved in an Eichel trade. If the roles were reversed I think it would start with Cozens and go from there. Just saying if Toronto were trading Matthews to Buffalo in this situation I am sure they would want Cozens as part of the return.

This comment will age poorly. Between joki’s poor possession stats and his best year at 15 points, Id bet Lundkvist will be much better in his first season.
