So what the hell, might as well add Tony D to this chaotic year. The vets in the Habs dressing room can keep him in line. Whole bunch of random moves that would be good to see.

Ohhhhhhhhh Deangelo.....Not sure I love that idea.

Though I do like the Ekholm, Kase, and Kylington/Bennett deals. Maybe even the Leafs would deal with the Canadiens(?).

Bruins pass, they are stocked up on 3rd pairing defensemen.

They need a True 1 LD

Liljegren for an Armia rental ... lol get outta here.

Liljegren > Brannstrom ... who was the main piece in the Mark Stone trade.

This is clearly viewed with blue and white glasses. He is no where near Brannstrom. He is bottom pair d-man who has floundered in recent years. Not a blue-chipper anymore.

From Montreal Mete, 1st round pick, Ylonen or Poehling or Brook and maybe a later round pick

imo Struble is a better prospect than Mete and wont have to be protected in the expansion draft, which Mete would. And Nash is already protecting Ellis, Josi and Fabbro, so I imagine they would want someone they don't need to protect. I think any of the above makes sense too.

1st, Ylonen/Poehling and a prospect. shake hands and call it a day

I only say Mete cause Nashville if Poile is still the GM will try to rebuild on the fly.

There is literally no area of the game that Brannstrom is better than Liljegren, including point production.

Which is weird since Brannstrom is 5'9 offensive defensemen who needs to figure out the defensive game.

While Liljegren has been the Marlies best shut-down defensemen (and player) for the past 2 seasons.

NA Scouting Top 100 Prospects | Dec 2020 (Liljegren ranked 67th / Brannstrom Missed Cut)

They have basically swapped places in everyone's rankings since the Mark Stone trade.

Please feel free to do some research, or watch them play, or something.

Liljegren has no offensive upside and is a career AHLer. Brannstrom is already a top 4 (albeit on a garbage team) we can see who is right in 4-5 years.

The big problem with that is Grzelcyk. If they acquire Eckholm they would expose Grz to seattle who is a step down, but it's not as big of a gap as some would like to think. Grzelcyk is criminally underrated. He is as good as Dunn. Very similar players.
