Description
Thoughts on what the wild should do this off-season? Personally I think they should try and get someone like Krejci or Stastny on a 2 year deal so they don't need to rush Rossi
Definitely a vet defenseman or two if Menell/Addison can't cut it
Complete guesses on the Kaprizov and Fiala contracts, just think it would be great for Minnesota fans to get those two locked up for 8 years

What is Seattle offering for us to expose him?

Add a couple more million to JEE's contract.

Wild will protect Dumba and lose Soucy or Greenway.

Yeah that's not how it works, you'll have to pay Seattle for them not to pick Dumba.

Or MN can just protect him like they've been planning to do since last offseason.

If Seattle wants Dumba they will either have to trade for him outright or not get him at all. We will either protect him with a 4-4-1 expansion list, or move him if we choose the traditional 7-3-1 route so we don't lose him for free.

The Wild aren't going to just hand a top 4 RHS OFD to Seattle and not get something back for him. That's awful asset management and if Guerin let that happen he should be fired on the spot.

    Edit: Seattle not Vegas.... doh!

Really though, they could put something interesting together. The whole, “we’ve learned from Vegas” shtick is all fine and good until the rubber hits the road. Dumba could be enticing if they want to compete. And man, BG lucked out with how he handled the Dumba situation.
