Detroit can't protect Namestnikov, he and Nielsen are the F's with 27 games played they'll expose to meet exposure requirements. They could possibly extend a guy like Erne before the expansion draft but as of now it's Nielsen and Namestnikov getting exposed. Wings would protect Svechnikov instead
Blackwell always gives 100% which you can't say for many of our other guys
Huh? I would've thought everyone on our team has that work ethic considering that Lias Andersson is gone.
That even includes Tony DeAngelo -- he just couldn't get out of trouble.

I didn't take those exposure requirements into consideration because they're very easy to satisfy. We'll see plenty of teams prepare for the expansion draft at the deadline.
I commend you for doing this. Hell of a job. From Hawks perspective, I'm not sure if they need to protect Kubalik and Suter but if so then Wallmark and Kampf are out and those two are protected.

Appreciate the positive feedback! And good news for you guys: both of them are exempt.
Is Borgen really that high in your pool? You're essentially exposing three prospects instead of one, by protecting Borgen.
To me, yes. Borgen got caught up in a numbers game here, the former gm kept acquiring rhd- we had miller, ristolainen, montour, and jokiharju all above borgen on our depth chart. All indications were that borgen should have graduated from the ahl, but the sabres needed to move a couple guys to give him a shot. Sometimes defensive d get overlooked. This year borgen got his shot and was one of the few bright spots until he broke his hand. Mittelstadt is probably the reason we will go 7-3-1 instead, as he has played somewhat better this year, of course thats all relative, hes still a huge disappointment for a former 8oa. Asplund is a decent defensive forward but his offense is non-existent, and thompson is awful. So, yeah, i would go 4-4-1 so we protect a solid defensive d, but we likely will try to protect mittelstadt instead.
