I think this would never get you Dahlin obviously, but it's wild that you kind of failed on both ends. One, the trade offer is lacking. And two, how exactly does a 20 year old dman help the leafs win right now? You trade a top 50ish player for futures, and then trade futures for a current player. Sound logic.

How is it this hard for you to understand? Dahlin is regressing under the Sabres. He won't ever reach his potential on the team. He can be a generational guy on the Leafs. He won't ever get close to that on the Sabres.
