Overpay x 2

Dermott and a 2nd for Hill and Hjalmarsson, each 1/2 retained, is an overpay??? The rest of the trade is nothing....

I consider Anderson to be worth a 2nd/3rd.

Personally, I wouldn't trade Dermott for Hjalmarsson straight up. I'm not giving up years of control of Dermott for less than half a year of Hjalmarsson. Between Brodie, Muzz, Holl, Bogo the Leafs have enough PKers/def dmen. Fit just doesn't work for me.

Really I don’t get the obsession with acquiring Getzlaf for literally 15 regular season games and the playoffs.

I get veteran leadership and such, but we have a ALOT of that already, (Simmonds, Muzzin, Soezza, Jumbo) and having to give that much up for half a season of getzlaf makes no sense.

I'd be fine with Getzlaf, I think his contribution of this ice could be more than any of our other vets, but I would assume the price would be pretty low. He'd have full say over where he'd want to go which would bring the value way down. I agree he's gone at the end of the season.

I don't think I'd give up Kerfoot for him straight up, but then it becomes an issue about fitting in that caphit.

End of the day there's a 0.01% chance of it happening, so not much point in putting too much thought into it.

I agree with what you say, they are both overpays. But you pay for insurance. I don't wanna see a playoff series were I have to resort to Marincin, Liljegren, Sandin instead of Muzzin, Brodie or Reilly. Then I would prefer to have an old but proven NHL shutdown D as backup. Besides either Dermott or Kerfoot are likely to be lost in the Expansion draft. Hill serves two two purposes. He has future potential, and is a much better option than Hutchinson should Campbell or Andersen go down.

Wow, the Leafs trade 3 goalies, and then have wait three weeks for Hill to see a Leaf game? No thanks.
Big overpay for Getzalf especially if you wait to for him to play and then you lose two Leafs regulars.
So what is the Leafs lose one of Dermot or Kerfoot in expansion. This way we lose Holl in likely and Kerfoof and Dermot are gone.

Pick up a 7th dman better than Marincin then for like a 5th. I'm not giving up Dermott++ for a 10 game insurance policy.

If Kerfoot or Dermott are likely lost to expansion, then who gets taken instead of them? Don't forget a certain number of players have to be exposed that hit the min game requirements.

I don't feel like figuring it out, but your trades may end up costing the Leafs Holl.
