Agreed.

Neither would the leafs, unless they are clearing cap space to make another trade. They aren't going to trade roster players for draft picks.

Thats what I was going for... it was rumored they wanted to make a move to clear up space for a potential trade.

Why isn't Colorado doing this trade? Seems like a good deal for them to me considering Compher has been terrible this year and they are in cup or bust mode.

Colorado Gets a similar player for Compher just an upgrade.

Detroit get screwed and loses a 2nd Round pick for a 4th liner.

Toronto probably accepts given the fact that almost every ACGM of the leafs I see, they are trading away Kerfoot for a crappy price like a 4th or 5th. The Canes will take him. He can play as a valuable 4th Liner for our playoff run.

I can assure you Detroit isn't giving up a 2nd for Compher and I doubt they would give up a 3rd for him.

if Kerfoot left colorado why would he want to go back there?
