Description

IF Beagle and Roussel can be moved for late picks great, but that is unlikely until next years TDL. Edler would fetch at least a 3rd with salary retention, but he is unlikely to waive his NMC.
JV and Gaudette trades seem unlikely until prior to the expansion draft. The Canucks should target D that will otherwise be left unprotected ( Carlsson CBJ, or Fleury CAR ).

That Oilers trade is awful for Vancouver. Why do we need Turris next year at that salary?

It would be a mistake for Benning to trade Motte. But Pearson should get traded because I doubt they can resign him.

The only way I move Motte is for a 1st or a high end prospect.

Motte will likely be exposed in the ED........if I'm Seattle I take him......why not get something??

Well don't be surprised if they get him. They do need a third line C as Turris has been an absolute bust in that role. The only problem with Sutter has been his contract, not his play.

Awful for van? Could buyout turris for 750k and get one of the leading scores from the ahl and a 2nd... nothing about it makes any sense for oilers.

Why would we trade for him to buy him out? It still counts against our cap. Last thing Vancouver needs to worsen the cap for next year.

Benson hasn't made the Oilers after all these years. He couldn't even make the taxi squad. If he's resigned this summer, he could be lost on waivers after that.

I’m not going to debate why it’s a steal for van because it’s not even something Holland would remotely consider doing when we can cut ties with turris for very minor dead cap space and keep the assets.

Motte will be protected if I'm Benning I'm leaving older worse contracts open like Roussel, Beagle, or Eriksson.

Oilers decline big time. don't need Sutters contract and don't need him, Benn we don't need at all he's basically an ahl top 4 dman nah we got better prospects. No way benson gets moved for a couple of scrubs with terrible contracts.
