We know Pearson will be out past the deadline but wow. A first round pick for at least 20 or so more games of Tanner Pearson and into the playoffs? I’ll accept.

Tampas looking to win a championship, adding Pearson and kuch will help them big time. Plus if there are injuries Pearson can step into the top 6.

I already said a 2nd is where Pearson value is, tampa will win the cup with him which is a late first basically a second. I think this is fair especially considering what tampa paid for Coleman and goodrow last year.

Its the most important 20 games of the season, the whole goal is to win championships. As a casual canucks fan ur not used to playing important games so I'm not surprised u wouldn't understand.

Even if Pearson is on LTIR till the playoffs, and doesn't hurt Tampa's cap.....the fact is Pearson hasn't been good this year. Then he has to rehab and be game ready for the playoffs. Tampa has lots of better options than Pearson.

It doesn't make sense to compare the Coleman and Goodrow trades to this. Tampa paid the high asking price for Goodrow and Coleman because they were exactly what we were looking for, had low cap hits, and had an extra season under contract. They weren't pure rental deals like this would be. Tampa has an abundance of forwards -- wingers especially -- which makes Pearson redundant.

Why would we waste a first on an injured player we don't need when we could use it it to fill a positional need (RHD) or to help clear out cap space in the offseason? And don't say LTIR, that doesn't matter as we don't need a another winger.
