He’s not wrong from a seller perspective there asking for 4 1sts... the seller starts at its highest point, they never get what they ask for. They’ll get 3 plus a bit 1sts in value what is offered here is wayyy above that whether anyone likes it that’s reality. If Buffalo doesn’t like it they can keep him and run with it idc. But that’s the reality of the situation

Buffalo would ask for Fox or Laf. This is a bargain tho in terms of quality lmao

as I said they can ask for whatever they want but we wont give those guys up (maybe we part with kakko but not sheshty, fox, laf, miller or likely even a buch). If buffalo doesn't like our offer then they'll just keep him but if we didn't offer any of those guys last year including kakko theyres little chance we do now.

I just want him so buffalo fans can realize they'll likely get a return of kravtsov (strome or chytil) another prospect (likely a robertson) 1st. Thats it

This trade hurts the Rangers more than it helps. The bottom 6 looks terrible, and Zibenejad is gone after that 1 Season.

Rangers fans are realizing that an Eichel trade really does more good than bad. Loss of assets. Loss of Cap. Loss of Zibenejad after next year, which basically brings our Center Depth right back to square one.

    No point.

We can also just give them 4 1sts instead of playing the game of “they will ask for laf or fox”. I’m sure they would ask for Laf, Fox, Kakko and Miller. Doesn’t mean those are the 1sts/equivalents that have to go. They are just as likely to get 3 1sts and Schneider. It literally is what they are asking for.

They need some sort of certainty or at least 3 guys with great potential.

    Laf + Chytil + 1st
    Kakko + Nils + Chytil + 1st

They have literally asked for 4 1sts or equivalent. So we can pay in picks and not give a 1OA or a 2OA or a superstar that wasn’t a 1st, etc. We can pay the asking price with picks alone and not touch our prospects.

In the slightest? I mean you get a top 10 NHL player right now in his prime signed for long term..... I mean if you're not interested that's one thing but you have to give up good players, picks or prospects to get a player like Eichel. You don't get him for Kappo, a first and a bag of magic beans. Every team in the league will be looking at if and what they would be willing to give up for him.

Ok but just giving up 4 1sts doesn’t guarantee a good future for Buffalo. Picks might be worthless. They need at least 1 guaranteed piece back

    Says you..

    They are asking for this..

And good scouting ensure a good future. All 4 picks don’t need to become a new Eichel, in fact none of them do. But if you can get a Kravtsov, Miller, Lundkvist, lias Anderson as those 4 picks then you might have gotten 1 dud but the other 3 are very valuable to your roster. And if you draft your own 4 picks as a Laf, Kakko, chytil, buch then all you need to do is buy an Eichel 4 years from now and you’re all set to compete.

And if Rangers acquire Eichel for just picks, they’ll be a playoff team. So Buffalo ends up with 4 picks in the 20s and likely half will be meh drafts lmao

They also ensure they are at the bottom and get 4 “Lafs”. Maybe go through the history of picks 20-30 and see what you find, I’m sure there are some real gems. 2nd line players are just fine when you’re also drafting an elite player.

... LA is the only other team that can top as realistic offer from us and they're not really interested in adding 10 mil to there cap (so yet again . if we don't wanna give up these main pieces that u think I'll get... just keep him and let him be the "top center" for you guys that wont make it to the playoffs

... Its not proven that anyone else will give a better offer than that. Also you never get great value back for a player like that when its not in a dealing from strength point of view. If they decide to trade him its already at a lesser value. It likely comes down to us or LA and there has already been word that LA isn't really interested in adding that much cap to their team

theres just no reason to get him with his inflated value right now wait until he demands a trade and it will lower his value.

it wont be inflated anyways, as the sellers they'll obv set the bar high but they wont get that much
