How are you not a Copp fan but are a Lowry fan?

I was thinking maybe if Copp was offered that might take that A-prospect ask to a B-prospect, sounds like Poile wants a 1st, Copp type player and an A-prospect for Ekholm, that's way too much imo.

Stats wise this year they are about the same but who would you want in your corner? I'll take the big ugly guy.

We had an injured goalie playing for us while Campbell was out but now that he's back toronto is fine in net. People just blow it out if proportion. Campbell can play till freddie gets healthy than were set again

Are you really confident with Anderson?

Copp is a much better skater and a bit less of a stonehands, I'd take him on my team over Lowry any day.

Here's the thing though nashville really does not need to trade him. Even if they don't make the playoffs this year they can just keep him and retool next year. The price is high but in this flat cap era contracts like ekholms are a steal. A dman of his caliber in FA would cost a team 5-7mill. So yes the price is high but for teams wanting to win now it's worth it. Coleman was acquired for an elite prospect and a 1st and Tampa payed that because of the contract and the players skill. Dman are worth more so of course nashville would ask for another asset.

Sure and probably, doesn't change my view though, there's cheaper to acquire options, no point in selling the farm for Ekholm.

really don't need to sell the farm just a top prospect like perfetti, samberg or heinola a 1st and either a b prospect or an nhl player whose alright

Yeah that's way too much imo, wouldn't part with any of those three.

Sounds great short term but in a year or 2 when Perfetti is looking for a top 6 spot gonna be issues, guess Wheels is gonna decline but can’t see him out of the top 6

Better off spending the $$ on the defence line imo

Hey just because we both agree that DeMelo should be the 7th defenseman on the Moose, we can disagree on Lowry/Copp. Did you notice I put Lowry first?

Lebrun and Dreger are just trying to sell their jobs on TSN.

    Disagree.

You don't think they add to the rumors so it is more interesting than what other contributors are reporting. The TSN executives are just loving it- rating equal money.

I think that while they do probably exaggerate a lot, their information is still very accurate if you learn to look past that stuff (which only comes from experience). They are also one of the most knowledgeable teams out there, especially more than the sportsnet team. It’s sportsnet is getting better too but they are still trash compared to tsn. If I want any league wide hockey talk, I usually tune into that’s hockey tbh. If it’s just the jets, ken Weibe is a solid source. He doesn’t have as many “ contacts” as insiders but weibe has a very high understanding of the both the business side and the hockey side of things.

You also have to realize that their main job is entertainment. Shows like that’s hockey won’t work without a little exaggeration. There isn’t a whole lot of rumours that happen every day for them to talk 20 mins a day for. Therefore, they need to give “conjecture” with the facts that they state. Most of what they say is conjecture but it’s the fact that they base that off of that tells what’s going on in the league.

For example, above we had them saying “elite prospect”. And elite prospect is perfetti or heinola. That’s it. Therefore, I doubt they meant exactly that when they said elite prospect, probably more a high end prospect (A level). However, elite prospect sounds much more interesting and generated a lot of future discussion

Entertainment is their job, you can’t be mad at them for doing that.
