They could get Georgiev for less because he's not even worth Kerfoot. He's an AHL calibre goalie. As I said in an earlier comment, the trade comparable is Bernier to Toronto. A C+ level prospect, backup/AHL goalie replacement, and a 2nd round pick. You can't justify anymore for Georgiev at all.

tbh, you probably wouldn't get multiple picks. He just hasn't show that he can stop the puck consistently and he's overpaid at this point.

That’s fine. He isn’t being moved

User name says Hockey Nerd, yet its pretty clear you are new to hockey analytics.

Also, you keep saying, "An AHL goalie". Why? (and whatever reasoning you use, be prepared to use the same on your own team)

Sure? I don't understand at all how Georgiev being an AHL calibre goalie has any affect on what Campbell or Andersen are. As to why Georgiev is an AHL calibre goalie, again look at the stats. If you're not so new to analytics as you think I am, you'd see literally right in front of you that Georgiev does not have NHL calibre stats.

Edit: If you'd like to use the facts and stats I provided as to why you think Georgiev is better and "would be the starter in Toronto" as you've said, please go right ahead. Because you couldn't be more than wrong and literally the stats prove it. Be my guest to make yourself look like a fool if you wish.

Cool. As I said, Toronto likely has no interest in him anyways. They have 3 goalies that are performing better than Georgiev this season. And why throw Georgiev to the AHL (where he should be) when they have young guys like Joe Woll and Ian Scott need ice time? I think you took this wrong from the beginning. I never said Toronto would have interest in Georgiev, they don't. They've made it clear that they're only willing to make a move in net if an upgrade is available. Georgiev is a pretty clear, far back step from what they have. So please, keep him and continue to lose if you'd like. I'm 100% positive that just fine with Leafs management.

Will never understand the value leafs fans place on Kerfoot, he will not land Georgiev, or Forsberg, or Hall etc.

It amazes me that after all these years, Leaf fans still don't know how to handle losing with grace. tears of joy BYEEEEEE.

what in the world are you talking about? As I've said from the start, it makes no sense for Toronto to take on another goalie like Georgiev. He isn't an upgrade over any of their current NHL goalies. You can argue he is over Hutchinson, sure valid point. But he still doesn't see NHL time for them. & I've proven that. Nothing about that is a loss. I also don't get where you're coming from chirping about losing when Toronto is 7th overall in the standings and the Rangers are 19th..
