Description

Montour is just there bc Ekblad is out. Although he definitely won't be able to replace Ekblad, he'll add NHL depth on FLA's right side, and who knows, maybe brings back some of his Anaheim play.

I don't think it is that far off. It really depends on if Sam is willing to re-sign or not.

Reinhart himself would go for a Player + prospect + pick, Borgstrom will play the majority of his career in Europe and Priskie is an AHLer so neither are interesting, Montour can go for a 3rd, or a 2nd if theirs multiple bidders

This is pretty far off... sabres have been bad but reinhart has been and is really good. An A prospect a 1st and a good roster player at minimum.

Because Sam only has one more year of control a 1st plus a prospect is about as good as they will do. I think the Sabres would be happy to get rid of Montour's salary at this point.
