Thats pretty close, the 1st will be low and in a year where the draft is weak in high end. The retention makes him worth more than a low 2nd.
But overall you're overpaying for a guy who would be perfect from a team that doesn;t need to move him, and is still in the playoff mix = slight overpayment
Laughton is a quality bottom 6 guy, who puts in pts, plays all 3 forward positions, wins faceoffs, brings physicality, two way play and grit
If the Leafs are serious about going for it, thats probably what they're asked for, and probably what they should pay.
