Considering chiarot skated today I doubt he’s ltir. Brown or foligno would be awesome as someone with size and physicality along with Anderson would be perfect

As for the defence all those worth anything would cost way to much

Chiarot also has a broken hand and was announced 6-8 weeks. Just cause he is skating doesn't mean he is even close to game shape. Because he is expected to be out 10+ games or 30+ days he is LTIR eligible. No idea why they have not used LTIR yet.

Theodore was more wishful thinking on my part lol.ost of the players were linked to Montreal at some point this season and a couple were just wishful thinking lol.

Like I said above Theodore was more wishful thinking, I didn't put the list in any sort of order, I forgot Keith had term on his contract I was thinking it would be a rental situation lol. Because of the term I agree we shouldn't do it. I will remove the 2 of them

Probably, I wouldn't mind taking Edler with 50% retained either though.

He has a NTC and said he didn't want to leave Vancouver. Even if he changes his mind, both MTL and Vancouver are at the cap ceiling, so his contract would make any trade nearly impossible.

Apparently Bergy is looking for a RHD anyway. The source is the agent David Ettedgui.

Chiarot was not put on LTIR for some unknown reason, so I doubt Gally will be too since it's the same injury. So their salaries count 100%.

I think the reason Chiarot was not put on LTIR is because we did not need to use it. We can and likely will put him on retroactively IF they feel like he is not making enough progress to be able to finish the season. Gally seeing as it is the same injury as Chiarot likely will miss the rest of the season just based on the timeline given for Chiarot of 6-8 weeks and we can use that space to add significantly before the deadline. If MB chooses not to use this to his advantage then I feel like Molson will finally see MB is not doing his job to the best of his abilities.

You might be right about the possibility to put them on LTIR retroactively. It used to be forbiden but it changed somewhere before 2019.

I'd like to know @capfriendly s opinion on the Habs real buying power at TDL in a scenario where both players would be on LTIR for 6 weeks.

I think only John Sedgwick, MTL capologist, knows that answer...
