Even if Seattle could take someone, it wouldn't be Smith since he would be protected.

I'd be curious as to who they'd actually expose...if ever there was a team that could stand to shed a $5ish mil contract, it's Vegas. I also find it hard to imagine that they'll move Fleury, even though it likely makes sense.

Stone, Pacioretty, Karlsson, Marchessault, Tuch, Smith, Stephenson, Pietrangelo, Theodore, McNabb/Whitecloud/Hague, Lehner protected.

Roy, Kolesar, Reaves, Carrier are the forwards exposed. They lose a decent D in Whitecloud/Hague (McNabb and Holden also available). Fleury is 36 and $7M is a lot, I don't know if they take him considering they have one of Whitecloud/Hague as option and goalies like Allen/Khudobin are available. Maybe, maybe not, we'll never know.

Yeah, I'd assume Whitecloud as well. I feel like with all of the turnover in Vegas, Fleury has been the one staple for that franchise, which is why I feel like they won't move him this offseason.
