Description

On NHL now, Elliotte Friedman said that the people running the Florida Panthers (i.e. Vincent Viola and Bill Zito) are "not afraid" and that they strike him as "people who are ready to step up and take a big swing".

Just recently, the Panthers lost Aaron Ekblad to injury and should be looking for a top 4 right-shot defenceman that can fill the void left behind by Ekblad if possible.

As shown on NHL now, the Blue Jackets could potentially get a 1st round pick for David Savard according to Aaron Portzline of the Athletic.

Does that mean the Panthers might pay the Jackets a 1st round pick for Savard?

Teams have paid more for less in order to win a cup. If they feel savard is the missing piece they should definitely trade a first for him.

Why limit to a RHS move Weegar back to the right find a left if more available or affordable.

Normally, there are 12 forwards, 6 defensemen and 2 goalies on a hockey team.

Of the 6 defensemen, 3 play on the left and 3 play on the right.

In tonight's game, Weegar started on the first pairing on the right side but Savard is thrown in now that Ekblad is gone for the year.

That means you have 3 RD for Florida: Savard, Gudas and Nutivaara.

According to capfriendly, Weegar is a LD and I placed him on the left side without thinking about anything else.

Silly me :/

I just found out that between Weegar, Yandle and Forsling, Forsling was the one claimed off waivers and has contributed a lot less to the team's success than Weegar.

So, now I placed Weegar on the top pair and Forsling on the bottom pair.

Yay!

Problem solved!
