Description
So here is a snapshot of the D results since Edmundson was paired with Weber 9 games ago:
- Kulak 0pts, -1
- Petry 3A, -4
- Edmundson 1G, 3A, +5
- Weber 5A, +7
- Romanov 0 pts, +4
- Mete 3A, +4 in 6 games

1. Edmundson is solid. Not only has he helped Weber, but Petry was a Norris candidate playing with him so I would reunite those two.

2. Mete had a tough night against Toronto, but has also been playing well of late. Mete and Weber played an entire season together before and it worked so why hasn't this been tried in like two years? Mete has never been a minus player in his career despite playing on non playoff MTL teams. Mete and Weber compliment each other perfectly so let's try it again, until Chiarot is back at least. If it's a matchup thing then play Edmundson against top pairs, Petry can handle it.

3. Kulak is squandering an opportunity. I am ready to move on from him. Romanov has been solid all year but would really benefit from a good partner. I think Montour would fit here. What's the value in a trade? He was a 1st and Guhle, but his value has dropped since then and he is a UFA so I think Kulak and a 2nd is more than enough. Fluery, Brook, or Ouellet can play until Montour arrives.

I agree with what you say in the description
What I disagree with is Edmundson is bad paired with Weber
They both can’t get the puck out of the zone
But yeah I agree with your pairing

I don’t think Romanov-Montour would be better than Kulak-Romanov tbh
Not at the cost of a 2nd round pick

I didn't say Edmundson is good paired with Weber, I just said he helps Weber... can't argue with the results 5 A and +7 is Weber's best stretch of the season he was sinking with Chiarot.

I think Montour is a clear upgrade over Kulak, but I'm also on the fence about giving up a 2nd round pick. Brook and Fluery are coming and the trade would only be worth it if MTL resigned Montour which would block a spot for those two. Maybe we should just stick with Kulak? Maybe add Kulikov as another option?

Never said Kulak is the problem, he just isn't the solution.

Can't see why Montreal should want to do this trade. Kulak is perfect for the 3rd pair, and I'd honestly be scared if Montreal resigned Montour so no thank you.
