Sharks would listen but would require an over payment. Leafs want a young top six player with term. Could be a fit. (Yes I know leafs fans will tear into me, but they have said they would trade top prospects and the first will be very late).

LaBlanc has been around a 50 point winger at best. Usually below that. I don't care to hear the arguement "he plays on a bad team" that's the excuse for he can't drive offence by himself. LaBlanc is fine but the question at hand is he worth two 1sts? Absolutely not. I am not sure he's worth 1 in this market

What does that have to do with it? I agree he's not worth 2 firsts. What I don't agree is that he'd be on Toronto's 3rd line. Because it's a completely biased thought. No one in the right mind want Galchenuk in their top 6 over Labanc.

And the point of this post was to acquire said player for said assets. Right now I am not sure he will automatically be in the top 6 so the price is ridiculous

When you acquire a player, you generally assume they will be similar to how good they were before, and you consider the circumstances. Labanc is the type of player that would likely be just as good if not better as a leaf. So, that means he'd be the 6th best player.
