No, it's not. It's total garbage. We're not eating all that cap for Toronto. Less than zero chance. Way less.

It's an upgrade for your team right now.

Hoffman is getting benched or buried.

You would rather have Kerfoot + Engvall over just Bozak. The cap retain means nothing. You aren't substantial buyers and that cap goes away this year.

This is very good for STL. It's not even a question.

1- Quite arguable. I'd say it's not.

2- He's getting traded, most likely.

3- No, I wouldn't.

4- Uhh the cap doesn;t end with this season. Kerfoot has another 2x3.5, and Engvall has another year, as well. This matters a whooooole lot, and I cannot imagine that this feature of the trade eluded you. Sneaky ain't gonna work here.

5- Keep Kerfoot and Engvall, and it's a deal. Otherwise, this is undoubtedly a horror show for the Blues, who need that coming cap space for far better, far more important players than a small 3rd line C who can't win faceoffs and doesn't hit.

1. You're wrong

2. Yeah, that's what we're doing.

3. You're wrong

4. wtf, sneaky. You said eating cap, which means retaining. Retaining ends this year. Paying for players on your roster isn't eating cap. Don't change meanings because you're trying to be sneaky.

5. We can much more easily find non homers to talk to about this trade and don't need your opinion.

Uhh eating cap is absolutely not limited to retention situations. And how could I possibly be wrong about my own preference? Good grief, Dunning-Kruger, you need to dial it waaaay back.

It's certainly discussed differently when you're talking about taking bad contracts with term over a situation like this. And if you believe opinions can't be wrong because they are opinions then you're one of those people that still thinks the customer is always right and other archaic thoughts that went out when people were allowed to think for themselves.

It's terrible for the Leafs. Trading their 3rd and 4th line centres and only get one back in return. And Kerfoot and Engvall are playing well. Leafs have no centre depth.
Plus the Leafs have wait for five games for those two Blues to see NHL ice.
Not saying the Blues should make the deal either, But in no way this really helps the Leafs.
