As an EDM fan I guess we could do it but maybe we shouldn’t resign him. It’s too risky and he’s getting up there in age slowly

It's the price of rental I'd be happy with, without resigning if he doesn't perform extremely well. Can just move on to a better fit this summer. Pretty clear we have the space to sign two LW's, one likely being Nuge, to about 5.5-6 mil each averaged out (one could be more, one could be less). Would help us see if a offense only LW works well with Connor and Pulju, I'm optimistic it will because Pulju and Connor are both playing quite well defensively this season.

Just the chance that Hoffman could easily return to a 30 some goal pace alongside McD for the rest of the season/playoffs is pretty great to take a shot at. Kahun just can't do that, as much as I think he's a fine middle 6 fwd.

Only if he fits well. Honestly doesn't really matter imo, either him or Hall/Saad/Tatar could be signed this summer, enough room.

Point is Hoffman *could* have a significant impact in a playoff series. Kahun, likely not.
