Team: 2018-19 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 7, 2017
Published: Jan. 8, 2017
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Toronto Maples in a few seasons. Including some trades, player resigned, and expansion draft.

Not sure 100% what to do with influx of depth players, and defense man. Trades will be appreciated and ideas.

In addition I see Matthews signing a 7-8.5million a year contract for 7-8years.. As well as Marner earning a 5million a year for 4-5 years, like Riellys deal.

Based off of the start that Tkachuk is having, his value is probably higher than JVR's.

The Flames wouldn't give up Tkachuk and a 1st for JVR. Tkachuk has actually loooked better than JVR so far. Why would the Flames give up their top prospect for an older underperforming player?

Though I agree that Tkachuk is not on the block...JVR is not underperfoming actually he is maybe one of the best contracts in the NHL right now...so please make your point but stop being ridiculous....thanks

Not singling you out but I'd like to find 1 Leafs fan that doesn't seriously over-value Bozak

Don't get me wrong Bozak is overpaid and I forgot to retain salary. But he is one of the best face off men in the league, and a centreman who can help a playoff team go deep.

Doubtful if any of those UFA signing turn to reality. Leafs will have moved onto to younger cheaper, and better players. And those trades in the spring of 2018, you mention for other teams playoff push, wouldn't. the Leafs want these players in the their playoff push? And those JVR and Bozak trades are seriously slanted for the Leafs.

Bombsquad: I don't think I over value Bozak. But in the current Leaf situation at centre, I just don't think he can/should be traded. So when I see trades for futures, especially if they are distant help, I think the trades are silly, cause hurts the team now and next year. Bozak and Byran Little have similar contracts, both are on teams that are struggling to make the playoffs. We rarely see Bryan Little trades, but somehow we see Bozak trades, multiple times a day. I guess it's Toronto and maybe a lack of hockey fans knowledge of players on other teams.
