I don't follow the Rangers (aside from the headline drama). From what I recall, the fact that Trouba had a one team list did not get out until after the trade was made. I remember Rutherford saying that he made a much better offer and was surprised that he was traded to NYR which leads me to believe the secret didn't leak out to the hockey GM community. I am surprised that both Trouba and Morrissey have played so badly apart, I would have thought at least one of them would have been ok.

With the system change to the Ranger D, Trouba was better this year...and while I believe he can be a positive contributor in the lineup- he will never justify his contract...but the NMC- woof!!
