Description
Kinda hodge podged this together from stuff I've seen on ACGM lately. Not saying I've seen all these trades elsewhere but if not the same then similar. Not sure what kind of results Sharks would get with this team but I think it's a interesting team. Really betting on a bounce back from Bobrovsky in this scenario.

I don't think Boughner is the coach for this team. Need to find a coach who can implement structure and balance Egos. Tortorella doesn't seem to handle egos well otherwise I think he is kinda what Sharks should be looking for.

Sharks pick Jesper Wallstedt with the number 8 OA pick, he should be available.

Interesting team. I think all the deals are pretty fair (FLA one if a bit of a stretch though), but I’m not sure I love them all that much. Feel like selling low on Timo and taking back Bob aren’t really ideal strategies.

I’m assuming this is sort of a rebuilding scenario (correct me if I’m wrong). But if that’s the case, I’d definitely like to see Labanc go, and the Sharks hold onto Jones as well. Just don’t think it’s worth it to lose assets in a trade just to get rid of him.

Otherwise, things are fine but definitely keep Leonard and yeet Viel and/or Dahlén out of the lineup. Leonard is currently better than both of em.

Isn’t Meier QO something crazy like 7+mill? He’s been very lackluster since signing his most recent deal. I wouldn’t even qualify him if I was the Capitals. I would pass for that reason. If I’m going to pay a guy 7+ mill I’ll keep Kuzy.

    Interesting AGM ✔

    With bad contracts to expose

Why use a valuable RFA to ensure Simek goes to sea

I'm all for exposing Couture likely gets taken too

Doesn't fit their timeline and it's a brutal contract

Florida should not be trading Lundell to dump contracts

Why tho? Is the upgrade from strome to hertl really worth a first, Chytil and a prospect? That trade could hurt us in a couple years when Chytil develops. Just work on faceoffs this off-season and he will be fine. We shouldn’t take steps sideways.

We need power forwards who play with some physicality. Can always resign Hertl if it works out.

Resign hertl after a year with Panarin won’t go over well, he’s gonna want tons of money. This trade isn’t a good idea in my opinion. Think of the brassard Mika trade. Not saying hertl is as bad as brassard but Chytil has had a solid start to the year before covid and his injury and will be cheap on contract for probably 2 more years minimum and he is an rfa.

I forget what Wilson called it a "reset" or a "retool". Probably not the approach I would take if it was a rebuild. This is just trying to get a bit younger while still being somewhat competitive.
I guess I saw Leanord play one time this year and wasn't impressed. Dahlen I've got high expectations but he has been in a lower league so I'll probably be disappointed. But either way the organization has a log jam of middle 6 left shot wings and I think Doug should see what he can get for a few of them so he doesn't have 3 or 4 of them get 8 games in the NHL then back to the AHL. I think Sharks would be better served giving these guys 30 games before sending them down to work on things.

I think NYR has smart transfer policy and they can have good benefits. Also i suggest you converter https://myfin.us if somebody need to know currency rate for different countries. And Sharks should not be trading Kuznetsov. He is valuable player

Ok gotcha, I see where you're going now. Still think I'd rather see Labanc go in this scenario, but it makes more sense.

As for Leonard, he's definitely been streaky and I think the Sharks ****ed up by not playing him more in the AHL year to help his development. But he's got a pretty okay ceiling in my opinion and if his value is only like a 5th, to me, it just makes more sense to keep him. I think if he has a good offseason and isn't to hurt from that last game, he could have a pretty decent 20+ point season next year. Yes the Sharks have a lot of LW prospects, but I don't think many of them are likely to stick long term, so I think we should keep as many of them as possible. Dahlén is someone I've been optimistic about like you, but I think this article is a really good summary of his game and why I along with some other just don't think he'll be all that impactful in the AHL let alone NHL at this point.

Yeah agreed. I think it's all very true, and it's definitely kind of disappointing to come back down to earth again. But at the same time, I'm definitely not counting him out yet - just maybe lowering my expectations. :/
