If Nill's staying as GM, pretty much nothing will change.

I'm presuming that Bishop will retire during the offseason.

I think Flyers is in serious need of bringing in a solid defensive D-man. Lindell's just that. Dallas on the other hand needs a TOP6 winger. This could be a win-win deal. In order to make the cap fair for both teams, PHI retains the amount of cap difference between the players.

I'm sure they'd like to keep him, but I don't think they have the finances to pull it off.

Philly doesn't really need anymore LD's so Lindell would be forced to play RD. I have no idea if he can play RD as well as LD so it's possible he would take a step back in his game. Otherwise i like the idea

This is better. I considered Lindell for Van Riemsdyk but with his cap hit and the fact Phily doesn't really need a LD, this is unlikely. Dallas doesn't need another defenseman though but trading Lindell is their best option for sure.

More likely Stars resign Oleksiak than bringing in Martinez. Nill has said he wants Oleksiak back.

Bishop will not retire. He will be ready to go.

If you’re wanting to make the cap hit even, only have Philly retain $600K. Both teams would then be on the hook for $6.4M in cap space.

    Philly would have Lindell’s $5.8M + $600K JVR retention
Dallas would have JVR at $6.4M per year

Perhaps I explained it bad. I wanted that there's no cap differential for Dallas here. Just counted that 7 minus 5.8 totals to 1.2 mil. If PHI retains 1.2 mil the cap won't change in either team.

Lindell's no good at RD. I wonder if Sanheim could play RD...if I recall correctly, he's done so in the past.

He has played some games on RD but hasn't looked like he can really play that position. I guess he could be taught to play RD but i think it would take quite a long time since he has mostly been playing LD in philly. Also philly would need a defensive guy to play with Provorov so i guess Lindell isn't a viable option then.

Lindell is primarily a defensive player. He really doesn't have much value outside of the defensive side of the puck

I know thats why he would be paired with Provorov on RD because Provorovs offensive game is better than his defensive game
