I don't even think its that bad but other teams will simply offer more than this for one of the best players in the league

Damn that’s a good offer, especially if the 2021 pick is 2OA.

Good pffer if that pick is top 3, but I see BUF wanting a package around Zegras instead of the pick

Anaheim is hardly any better then Buffalo, Plus they're basically a rebuilding team that Eichel doesn't want to go to. But have to admit that is a good offer.

Very well-thought-out and fair offer. The 2021 pick can be no worse than fourth overall, so Buffalo would two of Power, Beniers, Guenther and Clarke -- a nice pair to add to Cozens, Reinhart, Jones, Steel, Olofsson, Quinn, Peterka, Dahlin, Jokiharju, Samuelsson and Johnson.

Congratulations.

I mean, you're not wrong that Anaheim is hardly any better than Buffalo, aside from the fact that it's SoCal, and not Buffalo.

I don't know how you get Eichel to Anaheim without giving up Zegras or Drysdale, but if it were possible, this team immediately starts climbing. Replace Eakins with someone competent (Hell, let Eichel coach if he wants), shore up the d-zone coverage, and watch the team rise.

Yup any deal sending Eichel to Anaheim has to include one of Zegras or Drysdale. if any other teams has to give up their good players. Then so should Anaheim. I mean if i'm Eichel i'd rather be in Southern California then snowy Buffalo.

For sure. As a Ducks fan, I have no interest in giving up either of those two guys at this point though. If we were an "Eichel" away from contention, sure, I'd be willing to discuss Zegras or Drysdale...but unfortunately we're not there right now.

I'm actually quite content to let the young guys spend another year developing, and maybe take a run at Wright/Lambert/Savoie.
