1) This is not getting it done. Brown is worthless. Paul is a bottom 6 forward on a good team. Pinto is decent, but not top 6 talent on most teams. Sanderson will be really good.
2) There is no way Ottawa should screw up all the good they've done so far by adding Jack Eichel. They will be an excellent team in a few years. They are also a budget conscious team and his there's no way Melnyk wants anything to do with his contract.
