I don't think Buffalo will need to take back someone like Butcher and his contract for Risto.

Freddy hasn’t been steady in the later half of this year. Even so, he’s not signing that contract - I suspect he’ll get 3.5-4.5M on a 3-4 year deal. The Devils would have to be on the high end of that scale, as I can’t imagine Anderson is all that enthusiastic about taking his talents to New Jersey.

"taking his talents to new jersey"

This is the typical statement made by someone who has no idea what living in NJ or the NYC area is like
Devil liked this.

Do you see New Jersey as an attractive location for free agents?

We have fast, young guys, where stars can live quietly, enjoy NYC area, and can eventually see our beaches, wineries, and mountains. There is a lot to do in this state. If you remember, we used to have great teams until Lou ruined it.

Thanks for your reply. I’m from Edmonton, which is a long way from New Jersey. From afar NJ doesn’t strike me as an attractive destination, but admittedly I’ve never been. Edmonton is not an attractive destination in terms of geography, taxation, and proximity to other places, but we have quite possibly the best two players in the world on our team, which I think counts for a lot.
