I’ll say it for everyone. No to the Eichel trade cause you’re robbing Buffalo.

That’s for us to deal with and not your concern.

Like just about every other team. Cap problems are always dealt with and players are resigned and others traded/ bought out in order to do so. Same thing goes on here.

Kakko would be lucky to get more than 1.5 mill on his next deal. Zib gets a 2.5-3 mill raise

And unlike other teams, the Rangers have no money, big contracts that are pretty much unmovable, and a bunch of players on ELC's that will expire soon. It seems like a lot of Rangers ACGM don't take into consideration what they will do next offseason with no money

Fox will not make more than $8.5 mil long term. Plus he’d probably take a discount cause the Rangers are the team he wants to play for.

Bridge deals exist for a reason. Literally can bridge everyone and pay them once the cap goes up in 3-4 years.

Drury apparently has some seriously incriminating evidence on buffalo’s GM (can’t keep up with all their front office turnover). Good hire.

Even with bridge deals, it looks like the Rangers will be over the cap. Maybe they could cut it close if they give everyone a 3 year bridge deal, but it seems unlikely. Correct me if Im wrong

How much do think Kakko, Fox, Laf, Miller, Shesty, Kravtsov and Chytil could get on a bridge cause I feel like you’re seriously overestimating how much they’re gonna make? It’s not like we’re the only team that’s gonna have cap issues with the flat cap and I highly doubt a team would seriously overpay in an offersheet.

Kaako - 3x2 Some Rangers fans consider him "elite defensively"
Fox - 8x8 He takes a bit of a discount but still will ask for a lot
Laf - 5x3 Assuming he reaches his potential
Miller - 3.5x2 Not really sure about this one
Shesty - 6.5x8 Locking up their goalie long term
Kravstov 2x2 Hasn't proven much
Chytil 3x3 Potential 2/3 C

I think Montreal might make a run at Laf when he is an RFA.

I’m not saying it’ll be easy, but I think it can be done. Definitely will be tight with a flat cap, but it’s possible.

With Eichel's neck issue I think teams are gonna be a little more reluctant. I am not sure for sure I would except the trade the way it is. I could likely get another decent Centre for that. I would be more inclined to go for O'Reilly in St. Louis but I don't think they want to trade him. I think New York Needs someone like Lowry from WPG as a third line centre with bite and keep the others as is. Eichel hasn't won and might be the reason for the losing culture. I am not sure how selfish he is as a player either but I would take a chance.

I agree, it won't be easy and based on how the contracts look, I doubt the Rangers can make it happen unless they make a big move

Also, the Rangers need a good 1B center or a true #1 center so they need to make room for that unless they want Strome to be the 2C

I still have a feeling Chytil will take that role on his own accord. Call me crazy, but I sense it for some reason.

Maybe but I think the Rangers should look for a 1B center, like Kuznetsov, RNH. Chytil might be better as a 3C

I don’t see Nuge as a better option than Strome right now as 1B. Kuzy seems to have a lot more off ice issues than I’d personally prefer to add. Especially on a young team, he might be a negative in terms of being a poor leader in the locker room.

It has been said that Strome has a great locker room presence and for a 50 + point centre in a short season, likely 70 points 82 games, my only concern with Strome is his face-offs. The Rangers were last on face-off wins which would improve their overall game and possession numbers. I expect at least a 15 percent improvement in all areas for NYR even if they didn't have any changes. I see Kakko, Lafreniere and Chytil to all have at least around 50 points each next season. None of them will be getting huge raises either.

I meant Kuzy is a bad locker room presence. I think Strome is great.
