And yeah…I want nothing to do with whatever is going down with Eichel. If CBJ swing something like these two trades, I’d be down.

I could see him trying to make a play for a top UFA center again this year, but get shut out like he always does, and settle for a couple more 3rd line centers:
Anisimov, Brassard, Bonino, Danault, Dzingel;
Or an overpay an over the hill guy like: Getzlaf, Krejci, Spezza or Stastny to play here

I'd be just fine with the (apparently since revised) Schmaltz trade. Put him in the heavy minutes position and stick Roz and Tex and Domi behind him. That's mostly because I worry about Kuznetsov's situation w/r/t why he's getting kicked out of Washington, tho.

IMHO, he was gone the minute they hired Laviolette.
