Jones over Carlo
Matt Tkachuk possibly over Wheeler

As much as i love carlo, I’m not playing him in front of fox. How about ditching Hughes, sticking in Alec Martinez, and pairing him with Carlson on the third pair as more of a defensive group?

I don’t know what happened. I literally meant to write Martinez and wrote Carlson instead.

I’m not against leaving Carlson off this roster. I think he’s one dimensional now.

I like Martinez, but feel as if he might not be as suited for Olympic sized ice. I like Martinez as a player though. I get why you wouldn't choose Hughes on defense. He was bad defensively this year, but last year he showed what he can do.

I just think he’s bad. Half his points come on the PP. he’s a pp specialist and an AHL d man 5 on 5

Also why I chose Carlo for him. Carlo can make up for Hughes blunders just like he did for Krug. Seth Jones is great but he's not as good defensively as Carlo.

Honestly I’m not sure anyone could make up for Hughes. The guy just goes rogue. He’s got a heck of a lot to learn.

He'll get there. He really wasn't that bad last season. This year was bad for everyone in Vancouver. Not sure if Green is the problem or what. Even Petterson had a bad year when he played. Hughes is definitely no Makar though.
