Gaudreau won't waive and if he does Flames take that and RUN. And is this a actual thing? If so source?

That's a lot to give up for one year of Johnny Gaudreau, Because there's noway he's signing with Buffalo long term. When he wants to go home either to New Jersey or Philly.

I hate that trade for your team. You're giving up your last two firsts and next year's first for one year of Johnny Gaudreau. All three elements are going to be of much greater and more long-term use to you in your building process. If I were your GM, I wouldn't give up more than Olofsson and a second or two for Gaudreau, which of course is nowhere near what the Flames are asking for him (if they even have him on the market).

One year of Gaudreau would at most cost the 2022 1st and Quinn. Absolutely not worth it

yeah but Calgary would probably want a lot for him and we would have to give up more if we were the ones going after him, I tried to add a lot so the comments wont be flooded with pressed flames fans

youre undervaluing Gaudreau, he had 100 points just 2 years ago and is a superstar in this league, just had an off year bc of Calgarys coaching and he still did really good. and its not two firsts its one conditional first. If youre making a blockbuster trade for a superstar player you are going to have to give up a lot which is why I have us overpaying for Gaudreau.

yeah hard to address all of it in one offseason but I think Mrazek is solid and if Bryson and Borgen step up our d core can be solid.

No I just did this for fun lol I was messing around with it trying to make us playoff contenders. I just pretend he would waive his M-NTC but in real life i agree he would not.

As a Buffalo fan, you should know that Ryan Johnson was taken in the first round in 2019 (31st overall) and Jack Quinn was taken in the first round in 2020 (8th overall), so as I said, "your last two firsts and next year's first."

Let me ask you this: do you think Johnny Gaudreau is going to get you very far in one season? And when he signs with Philadelphia or New Jersey on July 1, 2022, after Quinn and Johnson finish their rookie year in Calgary and after the Flames used those two 2022 draft picks to select two top prospects (because the second is going to be in the top 40), how are you gonna feel about this trade?
